Description: Cell towers locations were collected from various sources. Sources used in the update include records from the tax assessor’s office, current and future zoning cases involving cell towers, and current cell phone tower records held by the planning department. Cell phone towers were then matched against the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Cell Phone provider records in order to verify the location, the providers using the tower, and provide an accurate description of the tower including FCC License, internal Cell tower numeric identifiers, and tower face mac addresses. Next, through Pictometry Imagery, exact tower height and ground elevation were extracted. Finally, a second verification of the location of the Cell tower was performed using the 2014 Aerial Imagery.
